• What is this for? Used to identify any structural abnormalities of the womb, such as the septum, bicornuate and others. • How is it different from a normal Pelvic Scan? It is the same experience for the patient, but a slightly different scan probe is used to allow 3D reconstruction of the womb. • Can this be done at any time during my cycle? Yes, but in some circumstances, you will be asked to come at a specific time of the cycle. • Do I need to do anything to prepare? You must have an empty bladder as this scan can only be done internally.
