ABOUT ME
Dr Julia Kopeika
I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery and have been practising medicine for more than 15 years. I finished Medical School with the highest grade in my year. I completed the RCOG Accredited Subspecialty in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas Trust, where I was appointed as a consultant.
I am devoted to evidence-based practice and aim to provide treatment that is both scientifically proven and makes a positive difference. In my practice, I believe it is absolutely fundamental to talk to patients, listen carefully to their concerns, and have first a very thorough assessment. I pay attention to all details and do not "jump" to quick conclusions, offering patients unnecessary (and expensive) tests that have no scientifically proven impact. I never fail to appreciate the uniqueness of every individual I meet and strive to provide truly personalised care to my patients. I treat patients the way I would like to be treated myself, with compassion and care during the bad and good times of their fertility journey.
I am an active member of the British Fertility Society and ESHRE. As well as being a consultant, I always strive to keep up to date with all the new research and developments in reproductive medicine.
I have published multiple papers in scientific journals and authored chapters and books on different aspects of reproductive medicine and science.
I truly enjoy my work and love sharing my knowledge with future doctors in weekly teaching sessions at King's College.
